The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is pleased to invite academic institutions to nominate faculty members for its upcoming Faculty Development Program (FDP). Hosted under the ITEC Program of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, this prestigious initiative is specifically designed for higher education institutions across the Global South.
This intensive two-week program focuses on strengthening academic leadership, enhancing modern pedagogical practices, and fostering international research and institutional collaboration. Participants will join a select cohort of global educators to exchange knowledge and build institutional capacity within a dynamic academic environment.
Program Highlights:
- Curriculum & Pedagogical Innovation: Modernizing teaching frameworks and student-centered learning.
- Academic & Institutional Governance: Enhancing management frameworks, student support, and recruitment strategies.
- Research & Startup Ecosystems: Developing strong research infrastructure, industry collaborations, and exploring incubation and innovation hubs.
- Hands-on Immersion: Engaging in research lab tours, collaborative roundtable discussions, and local industry visits.
- Cultural Experience: Experiencing rich cultural immersion and networking with world-class IITGN faculty.
Funding & Financial Support: This program is fully funded by the Government of India through the ITEC scheme:
- Tuition Fees: Covered directly by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
- Travel: Round-trip airfare for selected participants will be provided and booked by the respective Indian Missions abroad.
