We were honored to welcome the delegation from the Taiwan-Thailand Science and Technology Center (TTSTC), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), for a meeting to explore ways to expand academic collaboration between institutions.

The delegation included Chair Prof. Fong-Chin Su, Executive Director of TTSTC and former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology in Taiwan, Ms. Hsiu-An Chien (Mirabell), Project Manager, and Ms. Wei-Chun Hsu (June), Project Manager.

KMITL executives led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitcha Prasitmeeboon, Vice President for International Affairs, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somyot Kaitwanidvilai, Dean of the School of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Uma Seeboonruang, Vice Dean; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanoknuch Songsuwankit, Assistant Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarinporn Visitsattapongse, Vice Dean of the Department of Biomedical Engineering; and Prof. Dr. Chuchart Pintavirooj, Lecturer, participated in the discussion.

The meeting covered existing programs such as the summer internship and bachelor’s–master’s program in Biomedical Engineering, and proposed the development of a new MOU to support researcher and staff exchanges, joint research projects, academic activities and seminars, and future funding opportunities.
