We were honored to welcome distinguished members of the North American tech media—Richmond Smith (Managing Director, Semiconductor Review), Sadi Muktadir (Editor-in-Chief, Canadian Manufacturing), Gregory Haley (Technology Editor, Semiconductor Engineering Magazine), Eric Wikom (Senior Sales Director, Industrial Equipment News), and Luke James (Contributing Writer, All About Circuits)—to explore the KMITL Academy of Innovative Semiconductor Manufacturing (KAISEM) labs and facilities.

The visit began with opening remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komsan Maleesee, President of KMITL, who highlighted the university’s commitment to advancing semiconductor innovation. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitcha Prasitmeeboon, Vice President for International Affairs, then introduced KMITL’s global initiatives, followed by a presentation on the School of Integrated Innovative Technology (SIITec) by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipoo Sriseubsai, Acting Dean of SIITec.

The delegation toured SIITec’s cutting-edge facilities, gaining insights into its interdisciplinary research and technology programs. Later, they visited the KMITL School of Engineering , where Asst. Prof. Dr. Kriangkrai Sooksood, Head of the Electronic Engineering Department, guided them through advanced laboratories focused on semiconductor manufacturing and electronic engineering.
