King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL)—led by President Prof. Komsan Maleesee—had the honor of welcoming the Institute of International Education (IIE) and delegates from leading U.S. universities, including University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Penn State, Lehigh University, and Texas A&M University, as part of the IAPP Thailand 2025 initiative.

The event opened with warm remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komsan Maleesee, followed by a KMITL introduction from Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitcha Prasitmeeboon, Vice President for International Affairs. Then, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rutchanee Gullayanon, Executive Vice President for Innovation and Global Engagement, presented KMITL’s vision — “KMITL powers the future as a research powerhouse and global sandbox.” 🌏




💡 During the project showcase and networking session, delegates visited booths from multiple KMITL faculties, including the School of Engineering, School of Science, Institute of Music Science and Engineering, School of Food Industry, School of Dentistry, School of Integrated Innovative Technology, International Academy of Aviation Industry, School of Industrial Education and Technology, CMKL University, and KOSEN-KMITL. Each booth impressed visitors with cutting-edge projects and forward-looking insights—the atmosphere was electric, and everyone was fully engaged! ⚡
🔍 Throughout the day, leaders and academics from more than 13 KMITL faculties joined focused 1:1 meetings and roundtables—spanning Food & Agriculture, Science, Engineering & Technology, Health Sciences, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology—to align curricula, research priorities, and future co-creation roadmaps.
What we’re building together:
• Degree pathways & exchanges: dual/combined degrees, short-term mobility, and faculty residencies
• Research cluster collaborations: AI & digital innovation, climate & clean energy, smart cities, translational health
