We were honored to welcome delegates from the City of Kitakyushu, Japan, led by Ms. Yuko Kusumoto, Executive Director of the Regional Economic Improvement Promotion Department, together with representatives from the City of Kitakyushu, Nihon Densokuki Co., Ltd., and @Career Limited Liability Company, for a meeting and discussion on the KMITL–Kitakyushu Internship Career Program 2027.

The KMITL delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitcha Prasitmeeboon, Vice President for International Affairs, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winadda Wongwiriyapan, from School of Integrated Innovative Technology, Dr. Varinya Phanichraksaphong from School of Engineering, and representatives from Office of International Affairs. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the achievements of previous internship collaborations, exchanged feedback from participating students and partner organizations, and discussed plans to further strengthen future cooperation and expand internship opportunities for KMITL students.

The delegates also visited laboratories at SIITec and School of Engineering before joining the Introduction Session: KMITL–Kitakyushu Internship Career Program 2027, where KMITL students learned about internship opportunities, career pathways, and working in Japan directly from the City of Kitakyushu and its partner companies. Students from the current internship batch also shared their experiences and encouraged the next generation of participants to pursue international career opportunities.

This visit reflects the shared commitment of KMITL and its Japanese partners to create more global learning and career opportunities for students through meaningful international collaboration.
